The Scouting Report


Each student at Legacy will follow one of the TEA recommended Graduation Plans: Distinguished Level of Achievement, Foundation + Endorsements, and/or Foundation.  The programs will work in conjunction with an Early College High School Program (ECHS).  The program provides an exciting opportunity for students to gain college experience while still in high school.  Through a strong support network, specific academic advising and a rigorous academic curriculum, students will be positioned to take the next step in their academic careers and attend a four-year institution.


Legacy will establish itself as one of the premier athletic programs towards preparing student-athletes for their next step in life.  Through blending a rigorous academic curriculum with world-class athletic training.  With a supportive, motivational and challenging learning environment, Legacy will instill in student-athletes the confidence to succeed at the collegiate level and beyond.

Within a partnership with industry experts, Legacy will groom students through a career- based curriculum towards professions in the following athletic careers.

  • Athletic Administration:  Students will apply the business principles within the administration in athletic business.  Corporate executives will introduce students to administrative positions within professional, intercollegiate, community, or international athletic organizations.
  • Coaching:  Through a partnership with Texas A&M Huffines Coaching Institute, students will engage in various leadership, team building and communication classes that will help them explore and prepare themselves to become better leaders, educators, and coaches.  The students will listen to and collaborate with many experts in the field of coaching while receiving encouragement and experience to pursue a degree in the field of coaching.
  • Sports Media:  Students will gain the skills to succeed in sports media production and business. Whether on the radio, mobile devices, live venues, websites, etc, through industry partners, Legacy students will learn game coverage, information and news programming, feature productions, and sports marketing, etc.
  • Sports Medicine:  Students will gain knowledge of the field of sports psychology, certified trainer, physical therapy, and medical doctors.  Students will gain a working sense and role of sports medicine in the athletic arena.
